At Last...

I scrapped my first layout of the last two weeks last night.  It felt great.  Life has been so crazy the last week that I haven't even been thinking about creating anything, which is really strange for me.  At the same time, while life has been so crazy, I have found myself noticing that my daughter is growing up.  Way to quickly, if you ask me.  I am in the middle of some major life changes, and I started to feel like her childhood was slipping through my fingers.  When I saw this photo last night, it reminded me that there are still parts of her that are little, things that show the bits of my baby still hanging around.  I was reminded to slow down and take the time to just be with her, play with her, and enjoy the moments.  Because no matter how crazy my life is right now, she isn't going to stop growing up.  Every moment I miss now is gone forever.

Journaling reads: You are in such a hurry to grow up, but I am enjoying the signs that you're not there just yet.
I created the bricks with grungeboard.  I cut it into rectangles, painted them white, misted them about 6 times with 2 different colors, and then inked the edges.

Papers are from K&Co. "Jubilee." and Tim Holtz.

More exciting things are up my sleeve.  Next week I will be sharing my newest undertaking, and if you are in Indiana, you will be especially interested.  :)

Watch for previews of my class with Your Scrapbook Stash to start soon also!  Oh, and speaking of which, there are some great contests going on at YSS that you can find HERE.
