I am so excited...

I will be bringing you my very first class! Your Scrapbook Stash and I are teaming up to create a jam-packed class packed with artsy tips and techniques!

I will be using the new WANDER Collection from BasicGrey to create a rocking, fun, artsy, mini album with a summer/travel theme, perfect for a variety of photos. We are going to have fun and get messy with gesso, paint, mists, and tons of fun embellies.

Kits and more class info will be available soon, so keep your eyes peeled. This is going to be an exclusive project and online class you won't find anywhere else.

Yeah!!

Monday Was...

Monday was one of "those" days. I ran all over the place, running errands, and it seemed that no one had anything that I needed. I went to a Dr. Appt, only to find that the Doc had been called away to do a C-section. I went to Staples, only to find they were out of the photo paper I needed. The grocery store was also out of paper towels... and on it went. :) Ever have a day like that?

Today looks like it will be much better! Yeah! So far, the kids are cooperating, I have my mojo back, and the house isn't too far from clean. Oh, and dinner is planned too. Sounds like a good start to me!

One quick layout to share today. I created this one with some old 7gypsies and some new K&Co. I was THRILLED to find the new K&Co Jubilee papers and embellishments at JoAnn Fabrics last weekend (on sale too!) and of course I bought all the papers. I used a few bits of them (the purple) on this layout. I created the background with random swipes of paint and some Cranberry Zing Glimmer Mist, and drew in the lines to add a little something.

This is one of the many Monarchs we have seen this summer. There are more butterflies around this year then I ever remember seeing before. So beautiful!
I'm off to enjoy my much better day! Hope yours is fabulous also!

I am a Soccer Mom!

Another layout using BG's Olivia. I get my BG supplies at YSS... and some of the new SUMMER CHA lines are now available for Pre-order, so head over there now and check it out. (Note: the blog has some awesome coupon codes!)

Removed for publication! :)

I am headed to Chicago for a wedding shower today... and a shopping trip to Windy City Scrapbooking. Yeah! Haven't been there before, so that should be fun! I am taking my 3-year-old with me, so that should add another layout of interest to the day. :)

Have a great weekend!

Cards, cards, and more cards...

I have made 16 cards in the last 3 days! I don't think I have ever done anything like that before. 12 of them are for a friend, as a gift set, the others are for DT work. The two I am about to show you were created for Your Scrapbook Stash. :)

The first one features Prima's Umbrella line and was totally fun to make. If you look closely, you can also see the brand new Prima Colorable stamps. :)
The second card was made with BasicGrey's Oliver line.
Both collections are available in the YSS Store right now.

It's almost Friday!

Africa Photos

Just thought I'd pop in to share some of the photos I will soon be scrapping of my husband's trip to Zambia.

Busy day today here... making cinnamon rolls with a friend who has come for a visit, and going grocery shopping and a portrait appointment. Of course, last night while I was in bed I had a fabulous idea for a canvas that I am now dying to create... and I have no time!! It always works that way, doesn't it? LOL

See you soon,

Welcome to Paradise!

One more Prima CHA project to share today! This one took forever, but was so much fun! I used new Fairy Flora papers, tons of brand new flowers, and pebbles, and more...

I started with a raw wood hut from Michaels. I got it for just $3! I spray painted it white to prime, then started painting. I used a wash technique to give the paint some depth.

Then I bordered the whole thing with sandpaper, and put felt underneath to protect surfaces.
The roof was make with Essentials flowers (the ones in the tubes). After I painted the roof, I cut the flowers in half and glued them down in layers. I used a strip of the Fairy Flora chipboard to anchor the top row.
I covered the "deck" with paper, them clustered some gorgeous new blooms on there, using the new vines. I love these vines SO MUCH! They are flexible, so you can bend them any which way. SO awesome to use!
This is a shot of the rear view. I covered the floor with pebbles. Some plain ones from Michaels and lots of gorgeous Prima ones for cool bursts of color and pattern.

This little table was painted, and I made the rug surrounding it out of one of the new Sweet Treats Doilies. I love them!! The deck area I constructed out of more of the chipboard, and of course more new blooms.
Hope you enjoyed this little trip to Paradise!

Prima CHA projects!

Here are a few more projects that I did for the Prima CHA booth.

This one uses the new Fairy Flora and features my kids eating their first Cotton Candy!
A layout using Jack and Jill, new felt Gates, and new flowers. I painted around the gate with Glimmer Mist. I love the glow it makes, and it's so simple!
This is where my paintbrushes will live when this little project returns from the show.

A fun little Road Trip project.
Thanks for coming by!
