Well, my friends, I am here to tell you that the newest spring fashions have come to Indiana. lol! last summer was Milena's first season in soccer, and she was given a net and a set of cones by her grandparents. Her brother, 3 year old Elijah, had a different idea of what those cones should be used for!
But first, here's the sketch used to create this layout. It's posted right now at Your Scrapbook Stash, and it was created by the lovely Erica.
I flipped it to create this layout using Webster's Pages gorgeous and oh-so-easy-to-use collection, "Spring Market."
While enjoying your crafty time this weekend, make sure to consider this sketch for some cool inspiration. And, for all your weekend shopping, coupon code APRIL20 will get you 20% savings at Your Scrapbook Stash (SMASH BOOKS are almost in- pre-order yours now!)

201 Teacher Sneaks!
Today is the very last giveaway for our Miss Art's Papercrafting School blog tour. While it's sad to see the giveaways end, it's an exciting day, because the fun is just beginning. Miss Art's will open it's virtual doors on Sunday, and class will be in session for the very first time!
I've been sharing sneak peeks with you throughout the month of our 101 classes, and today I am thrilled to be sharing with you the incredible 201 lineup of teachers that we have coming to Miss Art's to share their talents with you.
In case you're just joining us and learning about Miss Art's for the first time, here's a quick breakdown of what the 101 and 201 designations mean. 101 subscriptions are $10 per month, and include 3 classes. 101 classes are a bit smaller then 201 classes, and cover a wide array of subjects, from how-to's for specific projects to classes about using specific products and tools, to technique classes. 201 subscriptions are $5, and while you only get one class, it's a whopper of a class, from a world-class teacher. 201 classes walk you through 1 or more projects, and you learn EVERYTHING you need to know about EVERY technique that goes into those projects. These classes are detailed, in depth, and utterly inspiring and they all have a coordinating kit available for purchase!
Ok, on to the teacher lineup:
May: Stacy Cohen
June: Alyssa (me!) and Heidi Kelley (yep, we're co-teaching, it's going to be a crazy ride!)
July: Lydell Quin
August: Julie Winks
September: Jamie Dougherty
October: Another amazing teacher I can't name yet (heehee, just had to throw that in there!)
Are you READY? I can't wait! To be entered to win the last subscription up for grabs, leave me a comment and tell me which level you are most interested in- 101 or 201. If you win, you'll get both levels FREE for the month of May!
See you Sunday at Miss Art's!
~Alyssa~
P.S. There will be 2 chances to win on the Miss Art's blog on Sunday! (Check out the School News tab!)

Just 8 More Days!
Eight more days until Miss Art's opens it's virtual doors! There is SO MUCH going on behind the scenes, getting the website, the store, and the teacher line-up all ready to go. Next Friday when I post we'll be doing all the last minute details and finishing touches.
Today I thought it would be fun to show you a few sneak peeks of what you can expect to find in the Miss Art's store.
So, how will the Miss Art's Store be different from every other store? I'm so glad you asked! The Miss Art's store will feature our exclusive kits, and a variety of scrapbook supplies. But unlike every other shop, our specialtiy is bringing you hard to find items. So, when there's something you can't find (or at least not cheaply), check us out! We will have a great selection of very affordable D-rings, White Signo Uniball Pens, stacks of Bazzill cardstock (think .25 cents per sheet!) and even a few unexpected items (burlap, anyone?).
And there's more. We will also be stocking and maintaining a section of the shop that is only for vintage, or vintage-inspired one-of-a-kind items, as well as handmade items made by our teachers just for you! We'll be showing you how to use the items in your craft spaces, and then selling them to you at a fraction of what you would pay somewhere else. Here are just a few sneaks of the type of items I am talking about:
Barrel Case (Markers not included):
Vintage Button Assortments:
Retro Brunch Bag (fits Thickers!)
Vintage Glassware:
Early 1900's postcards:
And there's one more thing: you will NEVER pay full (MSRP) price for your supplies at Miss Art's Papercrafting School. Guaranteed.
Nervous about trying something new? Most new students have a few first day jitters so we want to give you the chance to get to know us better. Each business day (Monday-Friday) in the month of April we will be giving away one free monthly all access Extra Credit subscription to a lucky winner who leaves a comment on the staff member of the day’s post and posts our count down blinkie in their sidebar!

More About Baby "K"
I seem to be on a Baby K kick lately. I think it's because he's just too cute, and my brother keeps me well-supplied with cuteness in the form of photos. :)
I created these layouts over the weekend using Basic Grey Curio, Echo Park For the Record, and a little of Crate Paper's Portrait, all from the store at Your Scrapbook Stash.
This first one is Baby K and my daughter, back at Christmas time:
And another first haircut photo. Yes, I used this in my mini-book "Haircut Story," but I couldn't resist using it on a layout as well.
Thanks for coming by! More Miss Art's sneaks coming on Friday!

It's Go Time!
This month for my DT projects for Your Scrapbook Stash, I requested some new Webster's Pages. I was delighted to receive Ladies and Gents and Spring Market, and I immediately created this layout of my adorable nephew, "Baby K."
Spring Market is so fresh and bright that it works perfectly with those outdoor spring photos. My brother took this adorable shot of Baby K out for one of his first stroller rides of the season. He looks ready to roll, doesn't he?
Spring Market and all the other new Webster's Collections are available at Your Scrapbook Stash! Coupon Code APRIL20 will save you 20% this month. Happy shopping!

Finally!
**The Miss Art's countdown clock and giveaway are below**
Finally a layout about me... although I suppose in recent days there have been 2 or 3, this is the expression of the sentiment I am feeling. It's about time I made it into my albums a little more, so that someday miy children will have part of their mother in their scrapbooks. :)
I made this layout for Prima Marketing using the lovely Madeline Collection.
