Free Mini Class!

I posted this over at Miss Art’s Papercrafting School on Friday.  It’s a free video showing how I made this layered background with vintage sewing patterns (which, by the way, you can get in the Miss Art’s store now!)  Click on the photo to view the video.

The Joy of Sunshine

This layout was created a few weeks ago, yet today’s posting date is ironically perfect.  After a week-long string of dreary wet days, today is warm and sunny, the birds are chirping, and it smells like spring.

This layout used products from Want2Scrap and The Robin’s Nest.  You can see more details about the techniques I used HERE.

Dare 2 Dream

I played along at The Color Room this week!  I used some Pink Paislee from a few different lines, and just a touch of Cosmo Cricket.  Smile

2 Attached…

This winter, my daughter had a hat the she just loved.  Problem was, it was far too small, and didn’t keep her ears covered.  She didn’t care, she wore it anyway.

I only managed to get one photo of her in this hat, and I cut off the top of her head in it.  Oh, well, that’s what creative cropping is for!  I used new BasicGrey, Pink Paislee (the 2’s) and some older LilyBee on this page.   It’s been a while since I did that much fussy cutting.  Feels good to return to my roots. Smile

Have a great weekend!!

It’s A Card Drive and Much More

Do you enjoy making cards? Every Tuesday in April the teachers at Miss Art's Papercrafting School will be teaming up to bring you a card tutorial, designed to spark your creativity, teach you new techniques, and meet the specifications for Operation Write Home cards.

Each Tuesday, visit the Miss Art's blog to view the tutorial. Then join designers Karen Hanson, Alyssa McGrew, Tina McDonald, and Jodi Baune in creating cards to donate to Operation Write Home. Cards will be collected at the Miss Art's office, then forwarded as a group to the Operation Write Home distribution center. Every card we receive will become an entry to win the Esther's Innovations kit from Miss Art's! You can send as many cards as you like, earning as many entries as you like, but only cards following the OWH guidelines will be eligible. Cards must be received by May 25th, 2012 to be eligible for the drawing. International entries and cards are welcome. Cards created should be shipped to:

Miss Art's Papercrafting School

Attn: Alyssa McGrew

125 Sherry Ln

Attica, IN 47918

For more information about the specific requirements for donated cards, please view the OWH requirements page.

This is the card Karen Hanson is demonstrating today:
